Forty-four golfers clubbed together to enjoy another successful charity golf day at the end of last month.
The event was held at Pontefract and District Golf Club on 23rd June, and the competitors were blessed with fantastic weather conditions and a course in great condition.
Special congratulations go to Jim Fisher, our Darjeeling Cup ‘23 winner for the third time, on his fantastic round with no fewer than five birdies, and well done to Steve Bethel for an amazing hole-in-one (our first ever!) at the tough 7th par 3.
I’m delighted to report that we had five mixed doubles pairs in the competition, which was another first!
Taking into account donations towards the day as well as Gift Aid, the event achieved net fundraising for DCT of £5433 – a wonderful contribution that will make a huge impact to the lives of children in Darjeeling.
